    On funding for Local Road improvements, it specifies: 
    
    "The Government expects that funding in this activity class will not be used to invest in other new multi-modal improvements, i.e. cycleways and busways, or fund traffic calming measures, such as speed bumps, raised crossings and in-line bus stops which inconvenience motorists"
    
    And furthermore: "Funding may be used to remove speed bumps, raised crossings and in-lane bus stops that exist on high volume urban connectors and arterial routes."
