    3.3. Decision-Making and
    Appeals
    Al systems should not directly make adverse decisions, such as denying eligibility for benefits, reducing benefit amounts, terminating benefits, disqualifying vendors, or assessing penalties.
    Where Al technologies inform adverse actions, a human with appropriate training and authority to override or alt the decision under review should validate each recommendation and be accountable for the adverse action. * For example, a case worker with appropriate training and credentials should review, validate, and approve each recommendation for denial of benefits. It is not sufficient for a system administrator or case worker to monitor that a batch process for assessing eligibility was executed."
